A Little Higher, A Little Happier 🌿⛰️

Some days I want coffee, air-conditioning, and absolutely no unnecessary movement. And then there are days when I somehow convince myself that climbing a mountain sounds like a wonderful idea. 😂

Today was definitely the second kind.

I started the day feeling surprisingly energetic, packed the basics into my little backpack, put on my comfiest hiking clothes, and headed out in search of fresh air and a view worth working for.

For this trip, I kept my outfit simple: a warm rust-colored long-sleeve top, black leggings, comfortable sneakers, and a lightweight backpack. Nothing complicated or overly styled. When there are rocks, hills, and plenty of walking involved, comfort wins every fashion argument. 😆

The Part Nobody Puts in the Pretty Photo

The climb wasn’t glamorous.

There were moments when I was walking confidently, moments when I was carefully watching every rock under my feet, and moments when my brain was quietly asking, “Mumeaw… why did we think this was a good idea?” 😂

But that’s also what I like about days like this.

You don’t need to rush. You don’t need to look perfect. You just keep moving at your own pace, stop when you need to, drink some water, and continue when you’re ready.

Then suddenly, after all those little steps, the landscape opens up.

And wow. 💙

Mountains stretched across the horizon, the lake curved between the valleys below, tiny houses looked almost like toys, and everything felt wonderfully far away from the usual noise of everyday life.

I stood there for a while without doing much at all.

No scrolling. No checking what I needed to do next. No worrying about whether I was being productive.

Just looking.

Sometimes a View Is Enough

I think that’s what I wanted from today more than anything.

Not an adventure that needed to become some huge life-changing story. Not a dramatic escape. Just a few quiet hours somewhere beautiful where my only job was to breathe, walk, look around, and enjoy being there.

Of course, I still took photos. I am not that good at disconnecting. 😋📸

But after the photo, I turned around again and looked at the view properly.

The funny thing about climbing somewhere high is that the world below suddenly looks very small. Problems don’t magically disappear, but they don’t seem quite as enormous either.

Maybe sometimes we don’t need all the answers.

Maybe we just need a different view.

And yes, tomorrow my legs may send me a strongly worded complaint about today’s decisions. 😂 But right now?

Completely worth it.
